Lyle Lind, 89, Washburn, ND, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.  Cremation will take place and private family services will be held at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn.

Lyle was born June 26, 1933 in Bismarck, ND the son of Paul and Florence (Heuther) Neuharth. They lived North of Washburn until moving into Washburn where he attended school. His father passed away in 1945 and Lyle and his mother continued to live in Washburn. Florence later married Orvin Lind. Lyle married Mildred Mantz and to this union was five children. Mildred and Lyle later divorced.

Lyle worked at Hoffman Garage and also for River Wood Garage. Lyle married Betty Stelter and continued to work at the garage. Lyle also worked as a painter and was a rural carrier for the Bismarck Tribune. He also drove bus for the Washburn School District for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Washburn; his son, LaMonte (Marcia) Lind of Washburn; his daughters, Barbara (Greg) Kuntz of Bismarck, Tracy (Max) Hickman of Evangeline, LA and Shelly Lester of Washburn and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Orvin; his sons, Lonnie in infancy and Steven in 2012.
