Louise Bustad, age 66 of Washburn, ND, died peacefully at her home on October 4th, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 7th at the First Lutheran Church in Washburn with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Interment will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM Friday.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn.

Louise Ann was born May 23, 1945 in Heil, ND to Otto & Emma (Rath) Traxel. She lived her childhood in the Brisbane & Carson, ND area where she attended school. Louise was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was united in marriage to Dennis H. Bustad on April 28, 1965 in Williston, ND. Together they lived in many different locations during the early years of their marriage. They moved to Washburn in 1976 where they have made their home for the last 35 years. Louise & Dennis raised two daughters, Cindy & Kelly. Louise enjoyed camping, golfing, reading, going for walks, and having coffee with her friends. Louise & Dennis enjoyed wintering in Apache Junction, AZ, where they made many good friends and shared a lot of great memories. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren and attending their various activities. She was a loving wife, mother, & grandmother. Her family will cherish memories shared around campfires at the lake and at the golf course.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Bustad of Washburn; two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Zetocha of Fargo and their children, Jacob & Taylor; Kelly (Dave) Vollan of Mandan and their son Zach; one sister, Gloria Hanson of Maple Valley, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers (Leslie & Gilbert).
