Lloyd A. Maynard, age 86 of Wilton, ND died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at a Bismarck hospital.

Lloyd "Bud" Maynard was born January 28, 1923 at Wilton, ND to Lloyd A. Maynard, Sr. & Edith (Stenquist) Maynard. He married Goldie Alberta Wilson on February 2, 1945 in Bismarck. Following their marriage, they made their home on the Maynard family farm southwest of Wilton and raised three children. They retired from farming and spent several years traveling and "snowbirding" in Arizona. Lloyd enjoyed serving on the Mission Evangelical Free Church Council and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. His favorite pastimes included reading, visiting with friends, playing Pinochle, and attending the ND State Fair and Ag Shows.
He is survived by one son, Wayne (Pauline) Maynard of Wilton; one daughter, Jean (Jerry) Monroe of Wilton; daughter-in-law, Ellen (Joe) Retterath of Stanton; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; & one sister, Lorraine (John) Clausen of Wilton.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife (Goldie), one son (Ray), and three brothers (Allen, Don, & Bob Maynard).
