Linda L. Sheelar, age 63 of Ruso, ND died Thursday, September 9th at her daughter's home near Strawberry Lake.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, Sept. 14th at St. Olaf Lutheran Church of rural Turtle Lake with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating.

Burial will be in the Ruso Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, Sept. 13th at Goetz Funeral Home in Turtle Lake.

Linda was born June 6, 1947 in Bismarck, ND to Alfred & Hilma (Johnson) Ahl. She resided with her parents on the Boydon ranch near Wing, ND until the age of 1 ½ . Her family moved to the Lundberg farm near Regan, ND where they resided for one year and then moved to the Pete Johnson farm near Regan where they made their home until 1963. Linda attended rural school through the sixth grade and then the Regan Public School. Linda worked at McFadden Meats in Regan for several years. Following the death of her father in 1963, she moved to Bismarck and worked as a dietary aide for the St. Alexius Hospital and later the Baptist Home. Linda married Marvin Sheelar on Sept. 25, 1971 at the First Baptist Church in Bismarck. Together they were blessed with one daughter, Delilia. They lived and worked on the Sheelar family farm near Ruso, ND milking cows, raising beef cattle, along with small grains. In her earlier years, Linda enjoyed baking for her family and would often bring afternoon lunch to Marvin out in the field. She also raised a garden with Marvin's mother Gena for several years. She enjoyed farm life and caring for her cats. Linda will be remembered for her happy and unhurried personality. Even through her illness, she never complained. She was a wonderful wife and mother and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. Linda's greatest joy was when she became a grandmother to two beautiful boys. She showed such great pride when she spoke of them and would sit for hours just holding them in her lap.

She is survived by her husband Marvin of Ruso, ND; one daughter & son-in-law, Delilia & Richard Wolf of Ruso; two grandsons, Jacob & Zachary Wolf; her mother, Hilma Ahl of Bismarck; three sisters, Judy (Mike) Davis of Bismarck, Brigetta (Edward) Wuitschick of Bismarck, and Connie (Ray) Wiedrick of Huson, MT; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, & uncles.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Alfred.
