LeRoy L. Hoff, age 79, a longtime resident of Underwood, ND, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at a Bismarck hospital.

Interment: Underwood Cemetery;
Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at Goetz Funeral Home - Underwood;
Tuesday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
LeRoy L. Hoff was born June 3, 1927 at Washburn, ND, the son of Jacob & Katie (Grauer) Hoff. He was raised and educated in the rural Washburn area. LeRoy married Mildred E. Clark in 1947. Following their marriage, they lived on the Hoff family farm north of Washburn for a short time. They then moved to Underwood, ND where they established their permanent residence. LeRoy raised potatoes for many years and worked in the construction phase of the Garrison Dam and Minot Air Force Base. He founded Hoff's Excavating and Septic Tank Pumping which he owned and operated until the time of his death. LeRoy was a long-time member of Augustana Lutheran Church, the Underwood Fire Department, and the Minot Moose Lodge 822. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, visiting with family, friends, and the people he worked with. LeRoy also enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and dancing.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald & Sharon Hoff of Velva & Valley City, ND; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Hoff of Velva, ND, Mary Hoff & Taylor Hoff of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Alvina Jungling, Amanda Paulson, Clara Baker, all of Bismarck, & Eleanora Stengel of Underwood; sisters-in-law, DeLayne (Roland) Weisz of Bismarck, Joyce (Walter) Wall of Coquile, OR, Elsie Clark of Underwood, & Amanda Clark of Bismarck; special friend, Elaine Rodgers of Underwood; & numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife (Mildred), his son (Dr. Terry Hoff), parents,
4 sisters (Rose Weisz, Lydia Schell, Edna Rodgers, & Katie Hoff), and 4 brothers (Walter, Jack, Emanuel, & Jake Hoff)
