Leona Sevigny, age 90 of Bismarck, formerly of Wilton, died April 19th, 2011 at the Baptist Home in Bismarck.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 23rd at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery – Washburn. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Monday.
Leona was born May 11, 1921 in Oakwood, ND to Armand & Louise (Lessard) Sevigny. She lived with her family until she moved to the Grafton State School in 1938. Leona had eight siblings. She worked in Fargo and later at the Schacher Rest Home & Hotel in Wilton. She lived with John & Jean Hruby in an adult foster care setting from 1974 to 2011. Leona recently moved to the Maple Valley Memory Care Community in November 2011. She most recently became a resident of the Baptist Home. She was a very social person with a constant smile. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and having coffee with her friends.
She is survived by two sisters, Bertha Kosmatka & Anna Lundberg, both of Washington state.
She was preceded in death by her parents & 6 siblings.
