Leo Reiser, Sr. age 86 of Turtle Lake, ND passed away Sunday, June 29 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home in Turtle Lake;
Thursday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Leo J. Reiser was born April 17, 1922 at rural Turtle Lake, ND a son to John & Frances (Bryson) Reiser. He attended rural school west of Turtle Lake and as a young man worked as a mechanic and truck driver. Leo married Leota Beierle on October 30, 1945 at Sioux Falls, SD. They made their home on a farm south of Turtle Lake. Leo lived on the farm until moving into Turtle Lake in 2006. His wife Leota passed away in February 2004. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, woodworking, puzzle solving, and caring for his animals on the farm. While farming, he also sold insurance for Nodak Mutual Insurance Co. for over twenty years. Leo is remembered for his great pride in land stewardship and precision was the hallmark of everything he did. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as President of the church council, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, and sang in the church choir.
He is survived by two daughters, Lois (Rodney) Rust of Turtle Lake, Janet & Del Schnaidt of Coon Rapids, MN; one son, Leo Jr. (LaVonne) Reiser of Turtle Lake; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Jolene) Rust, Lani (Shawn) Schafer, Nicole (Cornell) Lofton, Jennifer (Mark A. ) Anderson, John Reiser, Jami (Keith) Hegney, & Jordan Schnaidt; one step-grandson, Wes (Marcia) Schnaidt; seven great grandchildren, Sabrina, Jacob, & Reagan Rust, Savannah & Cassidy Schafer, Karsten & Kaullen Hegney; two step-great grandchildren, Jackie (Todd) Keller & Sara Schnaidt; one step-great great grandchild, Brayden Keller; two sisters, Alice Schaffert of Chico, CA, & Laura Schlafman of Turtle Lake; two brothers, Reuben (Norma) Reiser of Highland Ranch, CO, & Earl (Eleanor) Reiser of Coeur d'Alene, ID; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Leota), one infant daughter (Lynda), twin brother (Lee Reiser), & step-granddaughter (Robyn Schnaidt).
