Leatrice Jean Schilling, 75, Turtle Lake, ND passed away into heaven as an angel on July 7, 2019 at the CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake with Pastor Sondra Krogstad officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.

Leatrice was born July 20, 1943 in Bremerton, Washington the daughter of Merle and Elaine Renfrow. She was the third of ten children. She graduated from the Turtle Lake High School in 1961. Leatrice married Roger Schilling on July 16, 1961 in Turtle Lake. They lived north of Turtle Lake for a number of years before moving to their farmstead southeast of Mercer. They farmed and ranched until retiring and moving to Turtle Lake in 2003.

She enjoyed crafting and painting and touched so many with the wonders of her paint brush. Leatrice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, WELCA and Turtle Lake Study Club. Leatrice will be greatly missed by her family and friends whom she deeply cherished.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Schilling of Turtle Lake; her daughter, Gwen (Bill) Evenson of Coleharbor, ND; her son Rod (Tracy) Schilling of Mercer, ND; her grandchildren, Travis (Nicole) Evenson, Sarah (Eric) Schon, Jordan (Whitney) Schlichting, Dusty (Lauren) Schlichting; her great grandchildren, Harper, Blake, Cambree, Parker and Kingston; her mother, Elaine Renfrow of Bismarck; her brothers, Leslie (Angie) Renfrow of Washburn, Lyle (Debbie) Renfrow of Minot, ND; her sisters, Luann Renfrow of Sisters, OR, Lynette (Elray) Sondrol of Washburn, Linda (Dennis) Bauer of Bismarck, LaRae (Ferlin) Johnson of Palermo, ND; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Renfrow of Roosevelt, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Leatrice was preceded in death by her father, Merle Renfrow, her brother, Larry Renfrow, her sisters, Louise Renfrow and Loetta (Gene) Hovland.
