Obituary

Larry L. Landsiedel, 88, of Baldwin, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in a Mandan Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Turtle Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Springer officiating. Interment will be held in the Turtle lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Larry was born on September 3, 1937, on a farm near Turtle Lake, North Dakota. He was the son of Edward and Gertie (Sayler) Landsiedel. He was raised on the family farm near Turtle Lake and attended country school near Turtle Lake.

In 1960, Larry married Sharon Miller. Together they built a family and were blessed with three children: June, Jenny, and Jay.

In his early years, Larry worked for area farmers before spending a short time in Montana. He later returned to North Dakota living in Fessenden and McClusky where he worked for Lelm’s Implement for 5 years. Larry then opened his own business, Larry’s Garage, which he owned and operated for 20 years. He then moved his business to Baldwin and called it Larry’s Repair.

Larry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed driving and riding horses.

He is survived by his son, Jay (Kerry); daughters, June Jorgenson and Jenny Bloom; 7 grandchildren, Sam (Becky) Buchmann, Victoria (John) Wolf, Amanda (Nathan) Strid, Reese (Kayla) Jorgenson, Nichole (Dylan) Barnhardt, Ashley Landsiedel (Justin Cavalliere), Amy (Tyler) Presser; 18 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby (Valerie) Landsiedel and his sister, Betty (Claude) Linder and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil, Cleo, Darrel, Wayne, Glenn; sister, Leora; son-in-law, Daryl Jorgenson; sister-in-law, Jean Landsiedel his ex-wife, Sharon.
