Larry Levi Anderson was born April 30, 1963 at Bismarck, ND, the son of Larry & Sharon (Linder) Anderson. Larry lived his entire life in Wilton, ND with the exception of one year living in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated from Wilton High School in 1981. During his high school years, Larry learned "many" things from his other brothers – Dick, Jim, Tom, Jeff, and Jay. Larry played football, basketball, and baseball and his most faithful fans were Art, Frances, and Gus. He was known for his last second half court shots and was the first Wilton football player to receive the Bismarck Tribune Athlete of the Week award for 158 rushing yards and 4-touchdown game.
Larry married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Kassian on November 18, 1983 at the home of aunt Jean & uncle John Hruby in Wilton. Together they brought two wonderful children into this world, Lukas was born in February 1984 and Nicole was born in September 1988. Larry worked for the Soo Line Railroad during the summer of 1981. He then worked for A&B Pizza until the family moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1986. While living in Alaska, he worked for Goodroot Landscaping, Shaky's Pizza, and as a lift attendant at the Alpenglow Ski Area. When they returned to Wilton in May 1987 he went back to work for A&B Pizza in Mandan. In February 1992, he became employed with Dakota Dust-Tex of Bismarck. Larry worked for Dakota Dust-Tex for 14 years. In October 2006, he began his employment with Bill Barth Ford in Mandan.
Larry will be remembered for his "great" story- telling and his gifted sense of humor. He was a great cook and we will miss his homemade soups, especially his knoephla soup. He could play "Name that Tune" and "What's in the Fridge?" with anyone that would dare take him on. He especially loved deer hunting with Lukas & Nicole and other family members. Some of the best times spent were in his new garage watching Minnesota Viking football, car racing and playing Texas Hold'Em. Larry also enjoyed taking the back roads in his red rocket (Ford Aspire). Larry was always willing to help out whenever needed and was a friend to all who knew him. Larry will be remembered for his great story telling and his gifted sense of humor.
