Larrie C. Cherrey, 65, Turtle Lake, ND died February 22, 2023 in the CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake with Pastor Russell Lambert officiating.  Interment will be held in the spring in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

Larrie was born November 25, 1957 in Williston, ND the son of Gordon and Betty (Travelute) Cherrey.  He was raised and educated in Williston and Bismarck.  He married Jill Wendt and they moved to Turtle Lake in 1994 and later divorced.  Larrie could often be found driving around Turtle Lake on his moped.  He loved to visit and did lawn care for many Turtle Lake residents.  He enjoyed going to garage sales and auction sales looking for Avon collectibles.  Larrie also enjoyed tinkering with old cars.

He is survived by his sons, Larrie Jr. (Carrie) Cherrey of Bismarck and Joey (Emmanuela) Cherrey of San Diego, CA; his three grandsons, Wesley, Bentley and Huntley; his mother, Betty Suverly of Glen Ullin, ND; his brother, Gordy Cherrey of Bismarck; his sister, Punky Christmann of Bismarck and several nieces and nephews.

Larrie was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Jean Ann Krein and Earlean Spencer.
