Katherine "Kathy" I. Dinius, age 86 of Washburn, ND died August 16, 2014 in the Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday August 21, 2014 at St. Edwin's Catholic Church, Washburn. Officiating will be Father Patrick Cunningham and Deacon Keith Due. Inurnment will be in the Hensler Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Katherine I. Dinius was born November 7, 1927 at Center, ND the daughter of Phillip and Eva (Mosbrucker) Brilz. She was raised and educated in Center. Kathy married John Dinius Sr. on April 13, 1947 in Bismarck, ND. Following their marriage they lived in several states following John's construction career. John died November 20, 1988. Kathy continued to live in Hensler, ND until moving into Washburn.

Kathy enjoyed volunteering at the McLean county resource center, gardening, crafts and most of all spending time with family and friends, especially her great grandchildren.

Grateful to have shared in Kathy's life included her daughter, Sheila (Dale) Bentz of Hensler, ND; son, John Jr. (Linda) Dinius of Mandan, ND; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; sister, Willie Stockert of Mandan, ND; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Kathy in death include her parents, husband, two brothers, Leo and Phillip; three sisters, Eva, Rose and Marion.
