Karen R. Adolf, age 50 of Washburn, ND, died peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 30th at Parkway Funeral Service in Bismarck with Pastor Jeff Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn. Visitation will continue 11:30 AM to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Parkway Funeral Service in Bismarck.
Karen was born April 4, 1962 in New Haven, Massachusetts to Selkirk "Bunny" & V. "Pat" (Kneelend) Mees. She attended school in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School. She continued her education for one year at Bismarck State College. Karen married Curtis Adolf on March 23, 1992 in Wilton, ND. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was referred to as "Mom" or "Nana" by all of her children and grandchildren's friends. Karen loved her work as a C.N.A. & C.M.A., and her many years working at Terry's Health Products. She adored her animals, especially her cats "Precious" & "Taz", and dogs "Gizmo" & "Drisco".
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Adolf of Washburn; one son, Bill Adolf of Bismarck; three daughters, Amanda Adolf (fiancée Brian Wadeson), April Adolf (friend Jarrod Kastrow), & Angalena Adolf, all of Washburn; two grandchildren, Gabby & Anthony; sister, Heidi (Larry) Aichele of Bismarck; brothers, Richard (Darla) Mees of Linton, ND, Bob (Heather) Mees in Michigan state, & Bill (Terry) Mees in Florida; her younger brothers and sisters, Erin, Katie, Cole, Lauren, Brett, & Jesse, all of Wilton, ND; and many nieces & nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
