June Jesser, age 68 of Bismarck, formerly of Underwood, ND, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2012 following a courageous battle with chronic pulmonary disease.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, Aug. 3rd, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood. Burial will follow in the Underwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
June Bernice was born June 18, 1944 in Bismarck, ND, one of eleven children born to Edward & Edna (Heihn) Keller. She attended school in Bismarck. In 1962, she married Stanton Rambough and they had two children, Pamala & Westly. June lived with her children in southern California for several years where she worked as a nurse's aide in a convalescent home. She greatly enjoyed caring for elderly patients. In 1976, June returned to Bismarck where she worked at Medcenter One hospital for many years. She married Roland Jesser on June 20, 1991 and they made their home in Underwood. June loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and horseback riding. She especially enjoyed laughing with family and friends and spoiling people with her special cooked treats. June's home and camper door was always an open invitation for a cup of coffee and conversation. She loved her pets and her close companion, "Pebbles". She touched the lives of many people and will be remembered for her warmth and generosity. A special thanks goes to the Medcenter One home health hospice.
She is survived by her children, Pamala (Joseph) Romance and Westly (Stephanie) Rambough of Bakersfield, CA; step-sons, Aidan Jesser and Kyle Jesser; her treasured grandchildren, Ivan Rambough, Cyrus & Joe Romance, and Aireon & Sierra Jesser; brothers, Willard (Frieda), Bruce (Carol), James (Vernice), Russell, & Frank; and her devoted sister, Verona Keller; She is also survived by countless friends and extended family members.
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Roland), 4 brothers (Wallace, Edwin, Gordon, & Doug), & 3 sisters-in-law (Nita Keller, Muriel Sampson, & Daphne Keller).
