Judith "Judy" K. Schauer, 77 formerly of Underwood, ND died June 10, 2025 at her residence at Edgewood Assisted Living in Mandan, ND. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday June 19th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Underwood. Internment will take place after the funeral at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery and a lunch will be served after.

Judith K. Schauer was born Nov. 4, 1947. Judy was born in Turtle Lake, ND and grew up in a large family of 13 children in Turtle Lake where she attended school. She met the love of her life Garry Schauer in 1967 and they were married Aug. 10, 1968 in Spokane, WA. They lived in Beloit, WI for six years where their two sons were born. In 1974 they moved to Underwood. Judy worked at the Prairie View Nursing Home for over 40 years as a cook. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending services and bible study. Judy enjoyed baking and was well known for her apple pies and chocolate waffle cookies. She loved being a grandma and enjoyed every moment with her grandsons and always enjoyed time with family. She loved spending time at the lake fishing, camping and boating, smiling as she watched her sons and grandsons ski from the boat. She loved dogs and held a special place in her heart for her Penny dog and Chance puppy who are with her in heaven now.  She spent a lot of her extra time reading and has probably read every book in the Underwood library at least once. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven Schauer, CA, Jason (Melissa) Schauer, Bismarck, two grandsons Andrew (Keaghan) Harr, Minot and Brandyn (Sierra Hall) Schauer, Mandan, two brothers, Jim Helm, Colfax, Wash., Eugene Helm, Osburn, Idaho, and one sister Irene Fagan, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garry Schauer, her parents and two brothers Ephriam and Gerald and seven sisters, Viola, Dorothy, Louise, Shirley Gloria, Eldena and Karen.
