Joshua Glen Harvey, 40, of Washburn, ND, passed away unexpectedly on July 28th, 2025. A prayer service where loved ones can gather to share a memory of Josh will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Saint Edwins Catholic Church, 906 Northgate Road, Washburn, ND. A funeral service will be held at Saint Edwins Catholic Church on Monday, August 4th, at 10:00 AM.

Born in Iowa and raised in Northwestern Montana, Josh met his wife, Miranda Benning Harvey, while in college at Minot State University, where he played football for the Beavers. A compassionate and beloved teacher and coach, Josh was adopted into the North Dakota community and chose Washburn as his home, community, and the village that would help raise his incredible family.

Josh was the kind of guy whose presence alone drew you in for a hug. He loved to love people, especially individuals who often go overlooked, and he showed them that they were seen and loved through quiet acts of selfless service.

Josh cherished his family and the people dearest to him, and he honored them by fervently sharing their story to anyone who would listen. He was a storyteller and conversationalist who loved to talk about Jesus and scripture, and wanted, so badly, for the world to know of the gift and promise of salvation.

Josh is survived by his wife, Miranda (Benning) Harvey; his children Mary Jane Harvey, Benning Todd Harvey, and Everly Rae Harvey, mother Katie Eslick Harvey, sisters Katelyne Harvey and Samantha (Billy) Wilson, his brothers-in-law, Ryan (Katie) Benning, Ray Benning, Rhett (Kerri) Benning; his grandparents Glen (Patti) Harvey and his numerous nephews and nieces and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Todd R. Harvey, and his grandparents, Kenny (Lavina) Eslick.
