She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, loved going for car rides, and going fishing with her life partner, Duane Borthwick, her son, JJ, and her grandkids. She had a loving heart, especially for babies and animals. One of her fondest memories was a trip to Branson, MO with her sisters where she was able to meet Mickey Gilley. Even as her health declined, she was determined to play bingo, do puzzles and crafts of all kinds with her CHI friends. She loved visiting with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.
Joleen will be missed by her son, JJ Lehnherr of Washburn, ND; her grandchildren, Joseph Lehnherr, Skyla Lehnherr, Tristan Lehnherr and Aaliyah Harrison; her great granddaughter, Thea Roberts; her sisters, Marjo Diede (good friend, Duane Brenneise) of Coleharbor, ND and JoAnn Smith of Windsor, CA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to cousin, Karen (Roger) Boyko for their many calls and visits.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne Diede; and life partner, Duane Borthwick.
The family would like to thank the staff and medical providers of the CHI Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake for their care and love given to Joleen. They were her "family".
