Jennie Holtan, age 88 of Washburn, ND died Wednesday, July 02, 2008 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood.

Funeral Services: 2:00 PM Saturday, July 5 at First Lutheran Church in Washburn.

Interment: Riverview Cemetery – Washburn

Visitation: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at Goetz Funeral Home – Washburn;
Saturday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Jennie was born February 5, 1920 at Turtle Lake, ND a daughter to Nels & Clara (Kleppe) Granlie. She attended rural school near Turtle Lake. Jennie married Hurley N. Holtan on Dec. 26, 1951 at First Lutheran Church in Washburn. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jennie was a member of First Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Washburn.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Hurley Holtan of Washburn; one daughter, Jane (Mike) Kuhn of Mandan; one son, Robert (Marsha) Holtan of Turtle Lake;
four grandchildren, Chris (Emily) Kuhn of Coon Rapids, MN, Sarah Kuhn of Butte, MT, Dustin Holtan & Alisha Holtan of Turtle Lake; three great grandchildren, Brayden Kuhn, Kylie Holtan, & Riley Holtan; one sister, Luella Petersen of Washburn; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter (Janelle), four brothers (Harold, Arnold, Kenneth, & Randolph Granlie), & three sisters (Evelyn Nelson, Helen Peterson, & Norma Kost)
