Obituary

Jeannette E. Wagner, age 68 of Bismarck, ND, died Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at her residence following a faithful battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at Century Baptist Church in Bismarck with Pastor Gordon Stork officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 P.M. at Riverview Cemetery in Washburn.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck.

Jeannette was born on March 14, 1944 in Underwood, ND to H. Kenneth & Martha (Mehrer) Tweeten. She grew up on her family's farm near Washburn and attended a one-room country school for eight grades. Jeannette graduated from Washburn High School in 1961. She continued her education at North Dakota State University and Bismarck Junior College. Jeannette married Duane A. Wagner on September 15, 1964 in Turtle Lake. She worked for the U.S. Geological Survey for 37 years and retired in 2002. Jeannette loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed time spent in her sewing room and quilted with all of her grandchildren, showing them how to put love in every stitch.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Duane A. Wagner of Bismarck; one daughter, Barbara (Brent) Schank of Waconia, MN; one son, Robert Wagner of Champlin, MN; five grandchildren, Breanna Wagner, McKenzie Wagner, Jordyn Wagner, Connor Schank, & Camden Schank; her mother, Martha Tweeten of Bismarck; one sister, Karen (Bruce) Wheeler of Bloomington, IN; two brothers, John (Deb) Tweeten of Mesa, AZ, & Harold Tweeten of Washburn; two sisters-in-law, Deb (Nathan) Gartner of Mandan, & Sandra (Pat) Crow of Danville, OH; and many nieces & nephews.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her father, H. Kenneth Tweeten in 2007; one brother, Robert Tweeten in 1958; and her mother & father-in-law (Albert & Evelyn Wagner).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Century Baptist Church, Bismarck.
