Jean M. Sayler, age 81 of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Underwood, ND, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Baptist Home in Bismarck.

Visitation: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday at Goetz Funeral Home - Underwood;
Saturday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Jean was born May 9, 1925 at New Ulm, MN, the daughter to John & Glorene (Dirks) Sayler. As a child, she moved with her family to a farm northwest of Washburn, ND and attended rural school. She married Edwin A. Sayler on June 4, 1944 at Underwood, ND. The couple made their home on a farm southwest of Underwood for many years. Jean enjoyed working with ceramics and loved spending time with her family. Edwin, her husband of 37 years, passed away on July 26, 1981. Jean continued to make her home in Underwood until moving to the Baptist Home in October 2005.
She is survived by 1 son, Stanley (Karen) Sayler of Duluth, MN;
2 daughters, Norma (Wayne) Schacher of Mandan, ND, & Linda (Albert) Hoerner of Mandan, ND; 9 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; & 22 great grandchildren;
1 brother, John (Adele) Sayler of Washburn, ND; 3 sisters, Myldred (Wallace) Swanson of Turtle Lake, ND, Myrtle (Hampton) Breeding of Riverdale, ND, & Elizabeth (Gilbert) Reiland of California; 1 sister-in-law, Emma Landenberger of Underwood, ND; & many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Edwin),
& infant daughter (Sheila Ann).
