Janice E. Geigle, 85, of Turtle Lake, ND died July 4, 2021 at CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, July 9, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating.  The funeral service will be live streamed at the bottom of Janice's obituary.  Interment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Janice was born May 14, 1936 near Benedict, ND the daughter of Gideon and Pauline (Blotter) Ketterling.  She attended country school near Mercer, ND and graduated from Mercer High School in 1954.  Janice married Artur Geigle on March 10, 1955 near Turtle Lake.  They lived in Turtle Lake, Regent and Bismarck before moving to a farm west of Mercer.  Artur was killed in a farm accident in 1983 and Janice moved into Turtle Lake in 1984.  She worked as a CNA and in many other capacities at St. Alexius and for the Turtle Lake Community Memorial Hospital.  She retired in 2006 after more than 40 years of medical service to the Turtle Lake community.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing Barbie doll cloths and visiting with family and friends.  Janice was a volunteer for the Turtle Lake Ambulance and was member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake

Grateful to have shared in Janice's life include her daughters, Cheryl (Alton) Lakoduk of Kief, ND, Cheryn Klatt of Turtle Lake and Cheryi (Peter) Teller of Salem, OR; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Dayle) Ketterling of Mercer and a sister, Marliss Olson of Granite Falls, WA and many nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Curtis (Sharon) Geigle and Charles "Chuck" Geigle; her son-in-law, Wayne Klatt and two sisters, Gloris Singer and Joyce Goerger.
