Janet DuToit, 78, Washburn, ND died October 3, 2021 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Washburn with Pastor Chuck Mann officiating.  Inurnment will be held in the Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.  The memorial service will be livestreamed at the bottom of the obituary.

Janet was born December 22, 1942 in Underwood, ND the daughter of Leonard and Johanna (Fylling) Evjen.  She was raised and educated in Underwood where she graduated from high school in 1961.  Janet worked for her parents at their drive-in and also worked for Stetson Hats in Philadelphia, PA.  Janet married James DuToit on June 14, 1966 in Des Moines, IA.  They lived in Philadelphia for a short period of time before moving to Washburn.  Janet was a stay at home mom and raised her children.

She enjoyed camping, playing softball, watching movies, putting puzzles together.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her husband, James of Washburn; her daughter, Robyn (Doug) Thomas of Washburn; her two sons, Todd (Renee) DuToit and Tim DuToit all of Washburn; her two granddaughters, Karisa (Marcus) Hewitt and Brooklyn Thomas and her great grandson, Carson Hewitt; her sisters, Elaine Senski of Underwood and Diane Schell of Turtle Lake and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Megan Marie Thomas and Dustin James DuToit and two brothers, Delton Evjen and Delbert Evjen.
