James E. Miller, 82 formerly of Turtle Lake, ND died May 18, 2016 in the Knife River Care Center, Beulah, ND. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Turtle Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Vetter officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.

James was born March 13, 1934 on a farm near Turtle Lake, ND the son of Otto and Julia (Stolz) Miller. He attended grade school in Turtle Lake and later moved to Grafton. He lived in Grafton until the late 1980's. James then moved to Hazen, ND where he worked at the Hazen Resource Center. He later became a resident of the Knife River Care Center in Beulah.

James enjoyed listening to gospel and country music, knitting rugs, reading magazines and scrapbooking pictures from the magazines.

Grateful to have shared in James life include his sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn (Ron) Freborg of Turtle Lake, ND, Barbara Schulz of Harvey, ND, and Arnold Franke of Bismarck, ND and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marvin Miller and his sisters, Leona Franke and Helen Lee.
