Obituary

James "Jim" Linnell, age 49 of Wilton, formerly of Killdeer, died October 4, 2012 in Wilton. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 9th at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton. Interment will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.

Jim was born on Sept. 30, 1963 in Dickinson, ND to Lavern & Marian (Mayer) Linnell. He was raised in Killdeer and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1982. Following his graduation, he worked construction in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, & Minnesota. Jim enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Operation Desert Storm. He was currently employed with the State Correctional Center in Bismarck. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his dog, Cody.

He is survived by his parents, Lavern & Marian of Killdeer; three sisters, Karen Linnell of Minot, Marlene Thompson of Dickinson, & Sharon (Geoff) Ellazar of Edwards AFB, CA; and several nieces & nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by one brother (Jerry) and his maternal & paternal grandparents.
