James Pryor, age 63 of Underwood, ND died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, Feb. 5 at Faith Evangelical Church in Underwood, with Pastor Jeff Higbie officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Interment will be held at a later date at Alexander Presbyterian Cemetery, west of Underwood.
James Calvin Pryor was born October 18, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to Calvin & Mary (Kling) Pryor. At a young age, he moved with his family to Tannersville, PA where he lived throughout his childhood and graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Naval Air Branch of the U.S. Navy in November 1965. He was stationed in Florida and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on Oct. 1, 1969. James entered the electrical trade following his military service. He married Linda Landgren on April 18, 1978. James "Jim" was employed as a journeyman electrician with the I.B.E.W (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) and worked many jobs throughout the country. After 30 years of loyal service, he retired as a member of the Local 714 in 2008. He is remembered as a very energetic person who enjoyed working on projects. He enjoyed farming for a short time and took pride in the motocross track he built near his home. He enjoyed attending motocross races, especially races his sons were involved in.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Underwood; three sons, Kori of Atlanta, GA, Tanner of Bismarck, & Brandon of Grand Junction, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother (Ralph).
