James E. Burt, 43, Turtle Lake, ND died August 13, 2018 at CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Turtle Lake Senior Citizens Center.

James was born November 22, 1974 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Guy and Debra (Miles) Burt. He attended grade school in Battle Creek through the 7 ^th grade. The family moved to Seattle, WA in 1987. James attended Renton Technical College where he received a degree in accounting. He worked for Fred Meyer's retail store as a Price Coordinator. James also worked as a hod carrier, managed a restaurant and was an acoustical carpenter. He married Natasha Carmon on January 29, 1999 in Seattle. To this union a daughter, Londenia was born in 2005. They moved to Turtle Lake in 2010. James received a degree in computer forensics and securities from Rasmussen Business College. He worked as a material handler for ADM in Velva, ND for 4 years.

He enjoyed writing, reading, theology, computers, gaming and reading comic-books. Through his love of reading and theology, James gave his life to Christ in 2004.

James is survived by his wife Natasha Burt of Turtle Lake; his daughter, Londenia Burt (13) of Turtle Lake; his mother Debra Burt of Battle Creek, MI; his brother, Gabriel Burt of Mill Creek, WA; his sister, Teresa Burt of Mill Creek, WA; his half-sister, Joelle Whitmore of Battle Creek, MI; his mother-in-law, Brenda (Howard) Adao of Bonney Lake, WA; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his two dogs, Cherub and Picachu.

He was preceded in death by his father, Guy and his grandparents.
