Ione Stadick, 98, formerly of Underwood, ND died October 19, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ under the care of hospice at Magda's Family Home Care. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Cemetery, Underwood with Father Patrick Cunningham officiating.

Ione was born February 3, 1920 in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Frank and Anona (Burton) Damskey. She was raised and educated in Solen, ND. She attended college in Bismarck at the University of Mary, where she received her RN degree.  She married Arthur Stadick on October 13, 1945 in Portland, OR. They lived in Portland for a short period of time before moving to Underwood. Ione worked as a registered nurse at Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood for several years. She retired in 1983. Ione to Phoenix, AZ in 1987 where she has since resided. Ione loved to quilt, crochet, and oil paint. She also enjoyed volunteering at Glencroft Senior Living, in Glendale, AZ.

Ione is survived by her daughter, Anona (Bruce) Lundstrom of Finley, ND and her two sons, Gerald (Debora) Stadick of Glendale, AZ and Robert (Kathy) Stadick of Underwood, ND; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1980, a brother, Francis Damskey and her sisters, Margaret Brandt, Jolanda Riegel and Donna Bruketta.
