Idamae C. Wagner, 89, of Wilton, ND died May 12, 2014 in a Bismarck hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 16th at Sunne Lutheran Church of rural Wilton with Pastor Paul Schauer officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery of Wilton.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M.
Idamae was born March 31, 1925 on a farm southeast of Wilton, ND to Rudolph & Mae (Jensen) Sorenson. She attended country school and later graduated from Wilton High School in 1942. She taught at several country schools for four years and then went to work for Ingersoll Steel in Kalamazoo, MI during World War II. Idamae married Ernest F. Wagner on November 8, 1947 in Wilton, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm 12 miles north of Wilton. They retired from farming in 1980 and continued to live on their farm north of Wilton. Ernest passed away in May 2003. Idamae continued to live on the farm until moving into Wilton in 2012. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, crocheting, quilting, and visiting with family and friends. Idamae was a member of Sunne Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for several years. She was also a member of the Sunne Stitchers Quilting Club and the Wilton Senior Center.
She is survived by one son, Alan E. Wagner of Wilton; two daughters, Linda (Bruce) Christianson of Minot, & LeAnn (Gerry) Lannoye of Custer, SD; 5 grandchildren, Carmen (Mark) Christianson-Bell, Briehan (Jason) Leslie, Jessica (Chad) Oswald, Ann (Nate) Winning, & David Lannoye; 3 great-grandchildren, Lauren Leslie, Sophia Bell, & Mason Oswald; and many nieces & nephews.
Idamae was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Ernest), daughter-in-law (Diane Wagner), and two brothers (Rudolph Jr., & Ernest Sorenson).
