Ida Lick, age 82 of Turtle Lake, ND, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Valley View Manor in Velva, ND.

Interment: Turtle Lake Cemetery;
Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home - Turtle Lake;
Monday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Ida was born August 23, 1923 at Mercer, ND the daughter to William & Katherine (Fiesel) Schon. She attended the Sheridan County Consolidated Rural School until the eighth grade. Ida married Edwin H. Lick on March 24, 1944 at Mercer, ND. They made their home on a farm 17 miles northeast of Turtle Lake, ND, where she played an active role in the farming operation. They lived on the farmstead until moving into Turtle Lake in the fall of 1985. Edwin "Eddie" passed away in September 1992. Ida continued to make her home in Turtle Lake until moving to Velva in January 2006. She enjoyed working outdoors and raising a garden while living on the farm. Her other activities included cooking, crocheting, ceramics, and rock polishing. Ida loved camping and fishing and enjoyed taking fishing trips to Canada. She later enjoyed taking her grandchildren on camping trips. Ida was a past member of the "Turtle Lake Trailblazers" Snowmobile Club and a present member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Turtle Lake.
She is survived by 2 Sons: Myron (Georgean) Lick of Ruso, ND, & Carvel (Lynnae) Lick of Turtle Lake, ND;
5 Grandchildren: Michelle (Jason) Kraft of West Fargo, ND, Heidi Lick of Eden Prairie, MN, Farrah (Nicholas) Faulkner of Turtle Lake, ND, Alan Lick of Bismarck, ND, & Alissa Lick of Fargo, ND; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Kennedy & Hayden Kraft, & Landon Faulkner; 4 Sisters & 5 Brothers: Freida Spelevoy of Fayetteville, TN, Bennie (Ruth) Schon of Velva, ND, Joseph (Lorraine) Schon of Mercer, ND, Harry (Helen) Schon of Minot, ND, John (Ella) Schon of Bismarck, ND, Ann Fetzer of Bismarck, ND, Ardell Schon of Bismarck, ND, Albert Schon of Heyward, CA, & Elsie (Ernie) Pieroni of Mt. Shasta, CA; and many Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Edwin), & 2 brothers (William & Walter Schon).
