Obituary
Hilda L. Tauer, age 99 of Underwood, ND died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood.
A memorial mass will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14th at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in Underwood with Rev. Frank J. Schuster as celebrant.
Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure's Catholic Cemetery.
Hilda was born April 16, 1911 near Underwood, ND, a daughter to Axel & Alice (Carlson) Landgren. She was raised in the Underwood area and graduated from Underwood High School. Following high school, Hilda attended the Bismarck Hospital Nursing School. She married Leo Tauer in 1936. Together they had 4 children. Leo passed away in January 1958. Hilda continued to make her home in Underwood until the time of her death.
Hilda is survived by two daughters, Patty (Paul) Sigurdson and Peggy (Mic) Johnson of Underwood; daughter-in-law, Claudia Tauer-Stromberg and husband Duane of Bismarck; 4 grandchildren, Jolyn Nelson, Jamin (Tanya) Tauer, Mike (Kris) Berg, & David (Michelle) Berg; and 4 great grandchildren, Megan, Brady, Kaliya, & Raina.
She was preceded in death by two sons (Charles & infant son James), four sisters, & two brothers.
