Hilda Flemmer, age 97 of Turtle Lake, ND, died Wednesday, April 18 at the Turtle Lake Community Memorial Hospital.

Interment: Turtle Lake Cemetery;
Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday at Goetz Funeral Home - Turtle Lake;
Saturday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Hilda was born November 22, 1909 at rural Mercer, ND, the daughter to Jacob & Louise (Gessele) Bender. She was reared on the family farm south of Mercer. Hilda married Philip Flemmer on July 22, 1934. The couple made their home on a farm southeast of Turtle Lake, ND. Together they raised two sons and farmed and ranched for 66 years. Hilda was a founding member of the Turtle Lake Community Hospital Auxiliary. She was also active with the Zion Lutheran Church and the Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid (W.E.L.C.A.). She enjoyed sewing, raising flowers, and gardening. Philip, her husband of 66 years, passed away on July 23, 2000. She later became a resident of the Community Memorial Hospital swing-bed.
She is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Garry & Betty Flemmer of Turtle Lake, ND; 4 granddaughters, Barb Hallman, Brenda Flemmer, Diane Flemmer, & Lesley Jacobs; 5 great grandchildren, Luke Hallman, Erin Hallman, Hunter Jacobs, Trapper Jacobs, & Gunner Jacobs; one sister, Martha Mayer of Bismarck, ND.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband (Philip), son (Meiny), daughter-in-law (Colleen Schlosser), 2 brothers & 6 sisters.
