Herbert Rauser, age 93 of Bismarck, formerly of Mercer, died Thursday, Nov. 24th at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 26th at the Turtle Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Oliver, officiating. Burial will follow in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Herbert W. Rauser was born October 5, 1918 at rural Mercer, ND to John & Amelia (Knippelberg) Rauser. He attended country school north of Mercer for several years. He married Edna Gett on July 11, 1943 and they made their home on a farm north of Mercer. Herb loved his farm and was very proud of being a farmer. He appreciated the friendship and assistance he received from his neighboring farmers. Herb and Edna lived on their farm until 2005 when they moved to the Edgewood Vista in Bismarck. He enjoyed watching his grandsons grow-up, and was grateful to have his grandson Darin and his friends come to the farm and hunt. Herb also enjoyed attending his grandson Tracy's sporting events. He was always happy to see his great-grandchildren when they would come to visit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Edna Rauser of Bismarck; one daughter & son-in-law, Geraldine & Tyrone Hinsz of Bismarck; two grandsons, Darin Hinsz of Bismarck, & Tracy (Kerry) Hinsz of Barnesville, MN; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kellen, & Aubryn of Barnesville; and one brother, Ernold (Aletha) Rauser of Bismarck.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Johnnie & Roland), two infant daughters, & one infant son.
