Obituary
Heidi Hanna, age 39 of Coleharbor, ND was given her angel's wings on April 11, 2008. She passed away from injuries sustained in an airplane accident near Garrison, ND.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 17 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.
Heidi Jean Olson was born September 28, 1968 in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter to Colin & Melva (Else) Olson. In October 1981, she moved with her family to Underwood.
In 1984, Heidi was a runner-up finalist in the Miss Teen ND Pageant and was awarded the honor of "Miss Congeniality". Heidi graduated from Underwood High School in 1986. She continued her education at various technical schools to pursue training in cosmetology and cardiovascular technology. Heidi was a proud and loving mother to her two sons. She enjoyed going through all the "mommy details" with her first son Brennan and always allowed him to live his life as he wanted. She also had a special bond with her second son Bodie. She loved his help and his unexpected breakfasts in bed. Heidi enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a wonderful "auntie" to Braydon, Taylor, Hannah, & Hunter.
Heidi is remembered for her extreme intelligence and rarely forgot anything she ever read. She would often receive phone calls asking for various tidbits of information and was always able to come through. She held a passion to fill herself with knowledge about anything that came across her path. In 2007, she was very proud of winning a spot in the World Series of Poker Tournament in Las Vegas, NV.
Heidi will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and radiant personality. Her contagious laughter brightened the lives of everyone that was close to her. She contained a strong compassion for people and animals and was known for taking in anything that needed a home. Heidi will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Brennan & Bodie of Coleharbor; her father, Colin Olson of Underwood; her mother, Melva Olson of Underwood; one sister, Holly Olson of Underwood; one brother, Kevin Olson of Underwood; and her special nieces & nephews, Braydon Olson of Underwood, Taylor Olson of DeForest, WI, and Hannah & Hunter Olson of Arden Hills, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Melvin & Florence Else, and Iliff & Elinor Olson).
