Harold M. Sellon, age 99 of Turtle Lake, ND died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.

Interment: Darling Cemetery – rural Turtle Lake, ND
Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home – Turtle Lake,
8:30 PM Family Service. Visitation continues Thursday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Harold was born September 27, 1908 near Turtle Lake, ND to J.B. & Jessie (Dingman) Sellon. He was raised on the family homestead northwest of Turtle Lake, which today is a three generation farm. He attended the rural Sellon School through the eighth grade. Harold married Elsie Walcker on March 25, 1935 and they made their home on the family farm northwest of Turtle Lake. He and Elsie moved into Turtle Lake in 1976 and he continued to help with daily farm work for many years. Harold was an avid reader, reading many books on the Pioneer Days and the Old West. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Turtle Lake. He enjoyed watching television and was always prepared for a game of Rummikub whenever anyone came to visit him. Harold's grandchildren were his pride and joy and he is remembered for holding them on his lap, singing a song to them, and bouncing them on his knee. He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Harold was sincerely loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Elsie Sellon of Turtle Lake; 3 daughters, Virginia (John) Dowd of Haddonfield, NJ, Marilyn (Kenneth) Sondrol of Turtle Lake, & Vicky (Todd) Jueth of Bismarck; one son, Harvey (Sharon) Sellon of Coleharbor, ND;
12 grandchildren, Todd (Dusty) Sondrol, Scott (Cyndy) Sondrol, Lisa (Bryan) Olschlager, Karissa (Darrin) Rittenbach, Kendra (Kenny) Howard, Shelby (Jake) Tweeten, Tonya (Mark) Papka, Kara (Jasen) Reiser, Shane (Dawn) Sellon, Trisha (Jesse) Eckroth, Amanda & Kelsey Jueth; twenty-seven great grandchildren; & one great great granddaughter, Madyson Tiffany Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers (Ralph, Stanley, & Guy), one grandson (Travis John Sellon), & one great granddaughter (Tiffany Dawn Green).
