Gloria J. Olson, age 79 of Underwood, ND passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood with her loving family by her side following an amazing battle with Huntington Chorea.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood with Pastor Joel Sherer, officiating.

Interment will be at the Underwood Cemetery

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church.

Gloria was born August 16, 1930 in Clearwater MN to George & Judith (Lunde) Hauge. When she was one month old her family moved to a farm near Roseglen, ND. Gloria attended school in Roseglen and Plaza, ND. She married the love of her life, Rudolph C. Olson on Nov 22, 1947 in Minot. The couple lived in Plaza, ND, Max, ND, and for the last 37 years in Underwood. Gloria worked at Prairieview Nursing Home as a C.N.A. from Spring 1972 until her retirement in May 1990. She became a resident of the nursing home in Dec. 2004.
Forever remembered will be her sparkling eyes, brilliant smile, and spontaneous sense of humor.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Prairieview Nursing Home who took such wonderful care of her for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Rudolph of Underwood, daughters, Gayle (Kermit) Wagner of Puyallup WA, & Pam Olson of Underwood ND; sons, Rodney Olson of Bismarck ND, & Larry Olson of Fargo ND; nine grandchildren & seven great grandchildren; one brother, Carroll (Gloria) Hauge of Grand Forks ND; and several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father (Rueben Petterson), one brother (Donald) and nephew (Gary Hauge).
