Gloria Filardi, 54, Turtle Lake, ND died October 12, 2017 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Thursday October 19, 2017 at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church, Underwood, ND with Father Pat Cunningham officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico. Visitation and Rosary/Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 PM Wednesday October 18, 2017 at the church in Underwood.

Gloria Filardi was born April 24, 1963 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico the daughter of Carlos and Carmen (Rigua) Filardi. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and also attended Florida Institute of Technology. Gloria married Ricky Mitzel on February 26, 2000 in Ft. Pierce, FL. Following their marriage they lived in Florida until moving to Sawyer, ND in 2006. They moved to rural Turtle Lake in 2011. Gloria worked for the Mercer Post Office and Super Valu Foods in Turtle Lake.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Turtle Lake and was a member of the altar society and Christian Mothers.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Ricky Mitzel, Turtle Lake; two step-sons, Rick (Sachiyo) Payer and Jared Mitzel; three step grandchildren, Matthew, Amelia and Andrew Payer; her mother, Carmen Filardi of Puerto Rico; her sister, Margie Filardi of Puerto Rico, her sister-in-law and her family, Shirley (Randy) Parizek.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Filardi and her mother and father-in-law, Richard and Angie Mitzel.
