Gladys was born February 9, 1929 in Bismarck, ND to John & Helen (Klain) Jahner. She grew up in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary's Central High School. Gladys married Roger W. Gladys worked a short time as an executive secretary for the Super Valu warehouse in Bismarck until 1967. In 1968, her first painting lesson was given to her in Newburg, Indiana and from that point her artistic talent allowed her to give countless painting lessons and design over 1000 paintings over her lifetime. She operated the Daub Hill Art Gallery at her home in Fort Clark, ND (northeast of Center, ND) for many years ending in the year 2000. Gladys admired horses and enjoyed going to her daughter's home to watch them. She also enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and chickadees outside her home and loved to make cookies, which she shared with her family and guests. Gladys held a great fondness for her dog, Muffin, for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Daub of Fort Clark; one daughter, Nicki Daub of Fort Clark; two grandchildren, Chad Hardt (companion Amy) of Fort Clark, & Haley Hardt (companion Brandon) of Fargo; and her special friend, Bev Kokkeler of Mandan.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Peter), and one sister (Jeanne Woodworth).
