Frank A. Presser, age 84 of Turtle Lake, ND died Monday, September 1, 2008 at his residence in Turtle Lake.

Interment: Turtle Lake Cemetery
Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home – Turtle Lake;
Friday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Frank was born May 10, 1924 in Medicine Hill Township, north of Turtle Lake, ND, a son to Fredrick & Kathrine (Klain) Presser. As a child, he attended rural school and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Frank married Mary Francis Crumb on June 5, 1949. They made their home on a farm north of Turtle Lake and raised four sons and one daughter. Frank farmed and raised cattle his entire working career. Frank operated the Brush Lake Pavillion for several years where he enjoyed roller skating and visiting with friends and neighbors. He married Sylvia Huffstedtler on May 10, 1989 and helped her manage the bowling alley in Turtle Lake for several years. Frank enjoyed bowling, billiards, playing cards, and a game of horseshoes. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Frank loved being around children and is remembered for his practical jokes.
He believed in living life to its fullest. Frank was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Turtle Lake.
He is survived by 3 sons, Richard (Linda) Presser of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Rodney (Deb) Presser of Jamestown, ND, & Bryce (friend Rhonda) Presser of Mercer, ND;
1 daughter, Twyla (Charlie) Balstad of Good Thunder, MN; 11 grandchildren, Mike Presser, Heather Bunn, Tanya Sheppard, Shana Holler, Shannon Presser, Lance Presser, Clara Presser, Kyle Balstad, Jack Balstad, Jordyn Harris, & Liesha Hulm; 7 great grandchildren, Hayley & Nathan Holler, Garret, Sydney, & Sabrina Sheppard, Griffin & Hadley Bunn; one step-daughter, Debbie (Tony) Cash of Wichita, KS; 3 step-grandchildren, Mona, Michelle, & Michael; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son (Douglas P. Presser), and ten brothers & sisters.
