Francis Senski, age 69 of Underwood, ND, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at his home in Underwood.

Francis was born February 15, 1937 at Philadelphia, PA the son of George & Dorothy (Jacobs) Senski. He attended elementary school at the Our Lady Help of Christians School. He started studying carpentry at Mercy Tech High School in Philadelphia. Fran continued his studies at the Dobbins Technical School where he earned his carpentry apprenticeship. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1961 and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington state. While serving in the Army, he met the love of his life, Elaine Evjen, and they were united in marriage on April 4, 1959 at Puyallup, WA. They made their home in Philadelphia, PA and raised 4 children. In 1978, he moved his family to Underwood, ND where he worked at power plants near Underwood and Beulah, ND. In 1986, he and his family returned to Philadelphia to live for the next 19 years. Fran was a member of the Carpenters Local #1856 for 52 years. He and his wife Elaine retired and moved to Underwood in July 2005.
He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Elaine Senski of Underwood, ND;
4 children: Jacqueline (Michael) Ambrosino of Underwood, ND, Michael (Kathleen) Senski of Philadelphia, PA, JoAnn (Joseph) Fleischman of Phoenix, AZ, & Andrew (Rebecca) Senski of Turtle Lake, ND; 7 grandchildren: Joseph, Sarah, David, Rebecca, Benjamin, Emma, & Andrew; 3 brothers: George (Dorothy) Senski of Williamstown, NJ, William Senski of Philadelphia, PA, & Leonard (Jane) Senski of Philadelphia, PA;
2 sisters-in-law, Diane (James) Schell of Turtle Lake, ND, & Janet (James) Dutoit of Washburn, ND; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law (Leonard Evjen), & mother-in-law (Johanna Evjen).
