Frances Krush, 97, formerly of Wilton, ND, died Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Bismarck, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Wilton, ND with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the church in Wilton with a vigil service at 7:30pm.

Frances was born April 4, 1921 to Nick & Anastacia (Kanski) Krush in Wilton and was the 6 ^th of 8 siblings. She was baptized in the St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wilton. Frances graduated in 1938 from Wilton High School and went on to attend Dickinson State College earning her Standard teaching degree. She taught in several rural one-room schools in Morton and Burleigh counties before teaching mainly 1 ^st or 2 ^nd grade in the towns of McClusky, New Salem, Underwood, Washburn, and Wilton. She earned her BA from then Mary College by taking summer, evening, and Saturday classes. She retired in 1981 after 40 years of teaching. Though she didn't have children of her own, she estimated she had more than 700 "kids" who were her wonderful pupils. She also sponsored many children through the St. Josephs' Indian School. Frances was a charter member of the Court of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton CDA, a member of the ND Retired Teacher Association, and a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton.

Frances is survived by her brother, Anton (Rose) Krush, Wilton; nieces and nephews: Jerry (Judy) Cook, Shirley (Al) Bater, Frances (Joe) Shields, Nick (Debby) Thompson, Ann Dronen, Larry (Conna) Cook, Georgia (Mike) Kahler, Fred (Pon) Wright, Bill Wright, Mary Beth Johnson, Barb (Richard) Lies, Nick (Joy) Krush, Mary (Joel) Ellingson, Jo Ann (Brian) Sadler, Jeannette Cook; numerous great and grand nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Frances was greeted in heaven by her parents, and sisters and her brothers-in-law, Pearl (Clyde) Thompson, Sue Cook, Eva (Whitney) Wright, Katherine (George) Dronen – (Ed) Runquist, Pauline (Kenneth) Johnson, and Delores (Paul) Baranick.
