Obituary

Eva Lindteigen, age 85 of Turtle Lake, ND, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.

Funeral Services:10:30 AM Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Turtle Lake Baptist Church - Turtle Lake, ND;
Rev. Bill Oliver, Officiating;

Interment: East Crooked Lake Cemetery - rural Turtle Lake, ND;

As per Eva's wishes, no public visitation will be held.

Eva M. (Gottschalk) Lindteigen was born May 25, 1922 at Benedict, ND, the daughter to Christian & Barbara (Daffee) Gottschalk. She was raised on the family farmstead near Benedict, ND and attended rural school. She was baptized and confirmed at the Greatstone Congregational Church of rural Benedict, ND. Eva was united in marriage to V. Leland Lindteigen on Sept. 1, 1946 at the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church in Kongsberg, ND. Together they farmed and ranched north of Turtle Lake, ND for many years. Leland, her husband of 56 years, passed away in November 2002. Eva loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life. Above all else, the legacy Eva desired to leave behind was her love for the Lord.

She is survived by one son, Richard (Susanna) Lindteigen of Turtle Lake, ND; four daughters, Julie (James) Ristad of Hallock, MN, Sheryl (Tom) Sullivan of Richville, MN, Marilynn (Lee) Perkins of Plymouth, MN, & Claire (Don) Skarphol of Fargo, ND;
ten grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer) Ristad of Hallock, MN, John (Michelle) Ristad of San Diego, CA, Daren Sullivan, Lisa Sullivan, Nicole Perkins, Erin (Joe) Repnow, Kathryn Perkins, Sarah Skarphol, Amy Skarphol, & Rachel Skarphol, all of Minneapolis, MN; two step-granddaughters, Robin (Joe) Blankenship of Dickinson, ND & Rhonda Zeller of Douglas, WY; four great grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, & Brandon Ristad of Hallock, MN, & Ian Ristad of San Diego, CA; seven step-great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Taylor of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister-in-law, Doris Lindteigen of Turtle Lake, ND; and many nieces & nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband (V. Leland Lindteigen), her parents, & several brothers and sisters.

The family asks that memorials be sent to the donor's charity of choice in memoriam of Eva M. Lindteigen.
