Eunice Sigurdson, age 95 of Underwood, ND died July 21, 2011 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, July 25th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Underwood with Pastor Dean Hartley officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleharbor Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Goetz Funeral Chapel in Underwood.

Eunice was born February 16, 1916 in Underwood, ND to Fred & Bertha (Reitman) Hoppe. She attended school in Underwood and later married Norman Sigurdson on October 8, 1943. They made their home on a farm west of Underwood for many years. Norman died on July 1, 1966 and Eunice moved into Underwood one year later. She worked for a number of years at the Hwy. 83 Café in Coleharbor. Eunice enjoyed doing needlework, such as crocheting, knitting, & cross-stitch. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was active with the ladies mission group.

She is survived by one son, Paul (Patty) Sigurdson of Underwood; one daughter, Barbara (Stuart) Loken of Nevis, MN; two grandsons, Steven (Katie) Loken of Appleton, WI, & Douglas (Meagan) Loken of Otsego, MN; three great-grandchildren, Madeline Loken, Mylie Loken, & Makade Loken; and one brother, Norman (Martha) Hoppe of Underwood.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband (Norman), two brothers (infant Earl & Harley), & one sister (Beatrice).
