Esther Wagner, age 80, of Washburn, ND passed onto our Lord on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at a Bismarck hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, Dec. 7 at the Washburn Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Torkelson, officiating.

Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery – Washburn.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn with a 5:30 PM Family Service. Visitation will continue on Monday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Esther was born November 17, 1929 in rural McLean County, ND to John & Hilda (Giedd) Rothmann. She married Otto Wagner on September 23, 1949 at the Washburn Baptist Church. In life she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was attending their school activities and other memorable events. Esther enjoyed cooking and baking, and everyone looked forward to enjoying one of her delicious kuchens.

She is survived by her seven children, Terry (Linda) Wagner of Chicago, IL, Myron (Barbara) Wagner of Neenah, WI, Dennis (Penny) Wagner of Bottineau, ND, Pamela (Richard) Liebel of Washburn, Diane (Michael) Herdt of Washburn, Jeffrey (Laurie) Wagner of Washburn, & Barbara (Lewis) Price of Hensler; sixteen grandchildren & eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond of Bismarck; two sisters, Marjorie of Bismarck, & Dorothy of Boise, ID; numerous nieces & nephews; and a dear friend, Leroy Barland.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Otto), three brothers (Marvin, Gordon, & Clayton), and two grandchildren (Joshua & Jessica Wagner).
