ESTHER L. REIMERS, age 92 of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Washburn, ND died Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Bismarck Baptist Home.

Interment: Riverview Cemetery, Washburn, ND;

Visitation: Sunday, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn;
Monday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.

Esther Lena Strecker was born March 3, 1914 at rural Washburn, ND to Christ and Magdalena (Grosz) Strecker. She grew up on her parents' farm NW of Washburn where she attended rural school.

Esther married Otto A. Reimers on December 22, 1937 at the First Lutheran Parsonage at Washburn. They made their home in Washburn where Esther was active in the First Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, attended Bible study and was a member of the women's church circles and quilting group. She was a member of the Lewis & Clark Senior Center at Washburn. Otto died on October 11, 1977. Esther continued to make her home in Washburn until moving to the Bismarck Baptist Apartments in 1997. A year later she became a resident of the Bismarck Baptist Home.

She is survived by her Daughter: Darlene (Norm) Ostboe, Bismarck, ND;
Son-in-Law: Michael (Sandi) Ranum, Bismarck, ND;
6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren;
Sisters-in-Law: Alma Strecker, Bismarck, ND, Bernice Strecker, Spokane, WA and Joyce Strecker, Clarksville, TN;
Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, 1 Daughter (Carol Ranum), 2 sisters (Bernice Wagner and Erna Cumiford), 5 Brothers (Walter, Marvin, Rueben, Melvin and Leo Strecker)
