Esther M. Miller, 100, formerly of Bismarck, ND died September 30, 2014 in the Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake, ND. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday October 4, 2014 at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, ND. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Emgarten. Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Esther was born November 14, 1913 in Washburn the daughter of J.W. and Elizabeth (Wickman) Olsen. She was raised and educated in Garrison, ND. Esther married Clarence Bergquist on February 20, 1934 in Washburn. Following their marriage they lived and farmed north of Washburn. They also lived and farmed northwest of Underwood, ND. They moved to Bismarck in 1969. Clarence died on January 13, 1970. Esther continued to live in Bismarck. She married Harry Miller on November 26, 1972 in Bismarck. Harry died on December 29, 1985. Esther worked as a dietician at MedCenter One Hospital for a number of years and also volunteered at the hospital. Esther had been a resident of the Prairie View Nursing Home in Underwood until entering the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake in 2012.

Esther is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Donald Joseph "Joe" (Paulette) Bergquist of Turtle Lake, Bev Bergquist of Wilton, ND; daughter, Barb Goehring of Jamestown, ND; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; one step-son, Harry Miller Jr. of Bismarck and many nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, one son Donley Robert "Bob" Bergquist; two brothers, Bud and Elmer Olsen; one sister, Ruth Erickson; and a son-in-law Clarence Goehring.
