Emma Landenberger, 94, of Underwood, North Dakota, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Good Samaritan Care Center, Bismarck, ND.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Faith Evangelical Church, Underwood with Pastor Jeff Higbie officiating. Burial will follow at Underwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood.
Emma Sayler was born on May 29, 1917 in Underwood to Christian and Pauline (Oster) Sayler. She attended school at a rural school near Underwood. She married Rudolph Landenberger on April 4, 1937 in Laurel, MT. They farmed near Underwood until 1969, when they moved into town. In 2010, Emma moved to the Good Samaritan in Bismarck.
Emma enjoyed gardening, cooking German foods, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a wonderful caregiver to her adult son, Burnell.
Emma is survived by her sons, Les (Ruby) Landenberger and Burnell Landenberger both of Bismarck; two grandchildren, Brad (Carla) Landenberger of Underwood and Kimberly (Cory) Welder of Bismarck; four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Lindsey Landenberger of Underwood and MicKenzie and Hunter Welder of Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, nine sisters and two brothers.
