Elsie Holwagner, age 77 of Bismarck, formerly of Washburn, ND, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

A private family service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Feb. 19 in the chapel of Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn. Pastor Dale Nabben, officiating.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery of Washburn.

Elsie was born Sept. 17, 1932 in rural McLean County, ND a daughter to Christ & Carrie (Brockel) Holwagner. She was reared on the family farm and attended rural school. Elsie made her home in Washburn for many years and worked for various people. She became a resident of the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in February 2006.

She is survived by one brother & sister-in-law, Chris & Charelette Holwagner of Center, ND; five sisters & two brothers-in-law, Hilda & Don Payette of Seattle, WA, Margie Recke of Seattle, WA, Ellen Clifford of Minneapolis, MN, Leona & Dale Dawson of Tucson, AZ, & Mary Murray of Sioux Falls, SD; and several nieces & nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, & five sisters.
