Elmer Gullickson, age 91 of rural Center, ND, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 30, 2007 surrounded by his loving family and under the attentive care of hospice.

Interment: Sanger Cemetery – Sanger, ND;
Visitation: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church;
Tuesday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Elmer G. Gullickson was born April 21, 1916 the son to Gilbert & Julia (Hove) Gullickson, on the family farm nine miles northeast of Center, ND. He attended the Sanger School in Oliver County, ND until the eighth grade. Elmer proudly farmed and ranched in Oliver County his entire life. He was united in marriage to Lucille Slater on April 19, 1942 in Mandan, ND. They made their home on a farm northeast of Center, ND where they raised their five children. Throughout his life, he enjoyed various activities such as horseback riding, baseball, snow skiing, water skiing, bowling, and dancing. His passion in life however was raising cattle. As a well-known cattle producer, Elmer was a lifetime member of the North Dakota Stockman's Association. In past years, he was an active member of the Center Lions Club and a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Gullickson of Center, ND;
three daughters, Sandra (Arnie) Fisher of Hensler, ND, Tracy (Gerald) Freidig of Center, ND, & Kimberly (Steve Shadwick) Gullickson of Douglas, WY;
one son, Leland (Kathy) Gullickson of Center, ND;
daughter-in-law, Jackie Gullickson of Center, ND;
twelve grandchildren & nine great grandchildren, Deirdre Melby and children Kael & Jordan, Dean (Connie) Fisher and children Justin, Brandon, Travis, & Zach, Cory (Jenny) Gullickson and children Brienna & Regan, Ryan (Roberta) Gullickson, Shaina (Scott) Adelman, Jenna Gullickson, Tony (Siena) Freidig and daughter Grace, Donald Freidig, Moriah Shadwick, Nicole, Amber, & Kendra Gullickson; one sister, Clara Klingenstein of Washington state, & one sister-in-law, Enid Bargmann of Hannover, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son (Clayton Gullickson) and one infant son, two sisters, and four brothers.
