Eldora Christine Bader, 96, Hazen, ND, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2014, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Goetz Funeral Home in Underwood. Officiating will be the Rev. Aron Utecht. Burial will be in the Underwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour before services on Friday at the funeral home in Underwood. Immediately following the burial a celebration of Eldora's life will continue for family and friends at Carl Bader Hall in Underwood.
Eldora was born December 24, 1917 the daughter of Fred and Maggie (Rothman) Jesser on a homestead near Falkirk, ND. She was the eldest of eight children. She spent her childhood growing up on farms in the Underwood area. On June 9th, 1940 she married Carl Bader and they shared 59 wonderful years together. They raised their four children in Underwood. She was an amazing cook and spent many years cooking for others at the Park Inn Restaurant and the Prairieview Nursing Home.
Eldora also enjoyed gardening with Carl and was famous for her homemade pickles. Her main joy in life was her family especially spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Her quiet kindness and pure sweetness will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her children; Ron (Diane) Bader, Norma (Ron) Hipp, Bette (Wayne) Grueneich, and Richard (Joan) Bader; one brother Alfred Jesser; two sisters, Esther Holznagel and Lorene (Armin) Erdmann; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Bader, four siblings; Don Jesser, Irene Bader, Bob Jesser, and Elmer Jesser.
