Edwin E. Wagner, 91, of Bismarck, ND formerly of Turtle Lake, ND died June 1, 2015 in a Mandan, ND care center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday June 5, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake. Officiating will be Pastor's Allen Wagner and Sondra Krogstad. Interment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 PM Thursday at the church in Bismarck. Visitation will continue on Friday, one hour prior to the service in Turtle Lake.

Edwin E. Wagner was born March 30, 1924 on a farm near Mercer, ND the son of Christ and Margaret (Weintz) Wagner. He was raised and educated rural Mercer. He married Ruth R. Presser on November 1, 1949 in Bismarck. Following their marriage they farmed southwest of Mercer. They also farmed five miles south of Turtle Lake until retiring at the age of 66. Eddie continued to help on the family farm until the age of 90. Ruth died on August 23, 1998. Eddie continued to live in Turtle Lake until moving to Bismarck in 2002.

Eddie was deacon and served on the Zion Lutheran Church board and served on the Mercer School board. Eddie and Ruth drove ambulance for the Turtle Lake volunteer ambulance and drove school bus for special needs students. He was an active member of the Bismarck Eagles and Elks Clubs.

He enjoyed music, dancing, playing his accordion for social events, and spending time with his family and friends.

Eddie is survived by his children; Debra (Peter) Lund, Fargo, ND, Nick (Patty) Wagner, Mercer, ND, Allen (Sharon) Wagner, Turtle Lake, ND, Karen Wagner, Austin, TX, Gerald (Deb) Wagner, Bismarck, ND, Judy Wagner (Zoel Lagace), Torrance, CA; 8 grandchildren, Todd and Ryan Keel, Fargo, ND, Nicole (Dave) Smith, Bismarck, ND, Spencer (Kayla) Wagner, Bismarck, ND, Paul (Sandy) Bushey, Lubbock, TX, Michael Bushey, Austin, TX, Jaden Wagner (special friend Kristin), Turtle Lake, ND, Blake Wagner (special friend Samantha), Minot, ND; 5 great grandchildren, Alexandra, Claire, Hannah, Brynn, Cerise; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Wagner, Bismarck, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend Millie Wald, Bismarck, ND.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth in 1998; a grandson, Lucas Wagner; three brothers, Emil, Godfred and Ernest Wagner; three sisters, Rose Swope, Caroline Stadler, Amelia Imsdahl.
